Self Description
I'm a goth and I'm proud of it. To some, goth isn't just some adolescent phase, as it was to so many posers who in middle and early high school wear black and chains and claim GOTH. To some, like myself, all things "gothic" are a lifestyle. I am immersed in the dark, romantic, carnal, and morbid aspects of life...many areas that others would rather avoid acknowledging. I indulge in sexuality in ways that others wouldn't dream of doing...I get my peace and quiet in cemetaries at night...I oppose Christianity but I love cathedrals...I love poetry about madness and death. I tolerate others, even those very different from myself with very different ideals, styles, and artistic preferences, because I value interpersonal connections more than puritanical ideals.
