You can't compare them.
Rammstein aren't pure METAL. They mix elements of Electronic, Industrial, Metal etc. Their songs have meanings. They also have amazing live shows. I don't see Slipknot whipping out face mounted flamethrowers or doing whole songs while lit on fire now do I? Nor does Slipknot have the balls to spray the crowd with a Dildo xD. I can understand them for the most part because I'm taking German. English is my first language and I can barely understand Slipknot. They just pose off of what all these "metal" American bands do lately. AHHHH AHHH AHH AHHH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. It takes no talent at all. Sure they use more guitars, it has no meaning though. Rammstein makes songs ranging from fucking someone, burning everything, destroying everything to loving someone and caring about someone. They have a great variety so you can listen to them no matter what mood you're in.
With Slipknot... The songs have no real meaning besides letting out anger by screaming like a Baboon. Okay if you like it, fine listen to AHHH AHH AHHH. Also a lotta German bands are not into making these heavy killing songs cause people always will call them nazis. Rammstein gets so much shit cause they're German. They don't give a shit though what people think of them, they're about the music. I don't think Slipknot can say that either. |

| Well i despise both of these bands, they are utter shit, however if i had to decide which one was worse i would say slipknot, slipknot is bullshit american mainstream and thier side projest stone sour is a joke, however ramnstien on the other hand has a side project called witt, and its not that bad, so yeah daefenitley going with slipknot is the worst.. |
