For those of you who look at this line up on paper and say it doesn’t make any sense, I ask for a little faith. Have my shows ever steered you wrong or been a bad time? This lineup already will be one of my favorites that I have put together and is basically what I am calling “THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL” show. It will start with a powerful and beautiful opener and quickly (and I mean VERY quickly) consume itself like a black hole and end in total debaucherory and chaos with booze, sex and Nintendo being popular themes for the night! I have recently seen performances by all of these artists and have been left amazed at each of their shows…..Trust me, my children and you will not be let down!!

LUSTIES:
What do you get when a band has the following influences : Beer+alchohol, Blondie, The Distillers, Bowie, Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop, The Ramones, Dead Boys, The Cramps, Kiss, X, and Gary Numan? Well read some of the reviews below and see for yourself the sex/booze fueled chaos that is the Lusties is led by vocalist Ms Edie Lustie on vocals she is joined by Larz Lustie on guitar (the strange) as well as GT Lustie (American Motherload), St. Michael Lustie on bass (Rachel’s Surrender/Mercurine) and Jackie Lustie (cheap caskets/13 tikis) on drumsAustin Texas' greatest loss:
"More melodic than the Ramones and edgier than Hole,This is the band that should be playing in the next Zombie movie in the scene just before helpless victims are ripped apart."-Jackie Lee King, Unrated Magazine.com "...damn-near essential… garage-loose punkpoprawk..." -Al Muzer, The Aquarian “...what you are going to find is pure adrenaline, velocity, and an undeniable comparison between Edie and punk rock legend Deborah Harry of Blondie…”. -The Hype Machine “The only band worth the hangover.” -Angela Keaton, Liberated Space, KOOP radio, Austin, Texas “They combine the crunch of punk guitars, a throbbing rhythm section, and a blast of truly beautiful singing into a tightly wound punch….”. -The Austin Chronicle “If you like Cheap Trick, Blondie, or the New York Dolls, you’ll love The Lusties…”. -Artistdirect.com “Witness the verge of stardom….” -Lowgradepanic.com “…snotty guitar garage punk…”. -garagerockradio.com “…fun loving chaos…”. -The Sound Review “…who will be THE ULTIMATE BAND?… UBL editors love The Lusties…” -UBL.com “…monster hooks and killer looks…” -UBL.com “…Edie is an awesome singer and songwriter…”. -texasrockabillyhonkytonk.com “…Edie Lustie comes off like a ripped-and- torn Siouxsie-meets-Vampirella,.. -KNAC.COM Nominated by Chicago Music Promotions as the best band of 2006. “…a great female fronted rock band…”. openingbands.com “…listen, to The Lusties…!” -MP3hits Holy shit. We rock. -Edie Lustie

SECRET BAND TBA:
If there’s a lesson to be learned about my secret unannounced band’s it’s that you should NOT MISS THEM! Many of you groaned about missing Stromkern’s performance in late july because it was “secret”. Don’t make the same mistake again here! This band was formed in 1998 by two brothers and have since terrorized the chicago music scene and its venues! Their shows have grown into full on multi-media images with pornography and Nintendo games, death metal singalongs, saws, puppet drummers and chicken feet! If that’s not enough they have been banned, tossed out or thrown out by just about every music venue in the city!

THE GOTHSICLES:
To make an even more interesting line-up what do you get when you combine electronic music, vampires and Nintendo? You come up with the very original and very entertaining Gothsicles. This supergroup from Madison is made up of DarkNES (vocals), :EYG: (live stuff and eye candy!),sega lugosi (Caustic if you didn’t already know!), and sometimes turbo Gothic 16 (Darkclan and stromkern!), and a host of other (industrial who’s who), and have built their reputations off of their amazing live shows. They have played with everyone from Christ analogue, Stromkern, VNV Nation, Cruciform Injection, Combichrist, Voltaire and many many more. Its been almost two and a half years since I’ve brought them to town and that show is STILL being talked about (see Maggot Twat/Gothsicles at Underground lounge reviews)…..Don’t miss what will definitely be another unforgivable and unforgettable performance

Sensuous Enemy:
Coming off an amazing Headlining performance on the second night of the world famous Reverence festival in Madison WI. I am lucky enough to have them come and open up what will surely be an unforgettable show with an amazing line-up. This will be the second time that I’ve had Sensuous Enemy play a “Sunday Showcase” with the first being along side Urn and My Alibi. Don’t let yourself miss them again!!

Founded in 2003, SE are an elegant electronic trio hailing from Madison, WI USA and have progressed at warp speed ever since. Our first live show was opening for The Cruxshadows in Oct. 2004. In July 2005, we opened Day 2 of Reverence 2005 in Madison at Club Inferno at which Thou Shalt Not, Imperative Reaction, and Combichrist also performed sets. Presently, in 2006, we have added a guitar player, a live percussionist, and a beautiful dancer. Our music is still electronically rooted, but the addition of the live guitar and drums has given us that "rock" edge. We've continued playing great shows with the likes of Razed In Black, Bella Morte, All The Pretty Horses, and Hungry Lucy. Their seven song EP "Deadly Sins" debuted early last year on Sonic Mainline and their new full length should be out in early October so be prepared to witness new material. (and get their early because their opening song is killer!)

For those of you who are still hesitant to come out on a Sunday night, I’m sure by now you have heard all about what you are missing. The Sunday night showcases are always packed, entertaining, dangerous, explicit and a hell of a good time and I can tell you that this show will be more of the same! By now we all should be circling the Sundays on our calendars because everyone is talking/blogging/texting about what happened at the shows for the rest of the week (i.e. Volatire, Jilt/Mind Flux Funeral, Caustic and defcon, Apocalypse Theatre, the unannounced secret Stromkern show etc etc) . I have now switched the start time for these shows to 7pm with the opening bands going on around 7:30 to accommodate everyone’s work, school, and prison work release schedules on Monday so get there early and I’ll get you to work on time!

PLEASE NOTE THE EARLY 7PM START TIME AS IT HAS BEEN CHANGED FROM THE TYPICAL “SUNDAY SHOWCASE” START TIME

Now as a new edition to the “Sunday showcase” we will be doing our after show parties at Martini Ranch!

Come join us as NiKK from Marazene spins everything from Ministry, Motley Crue,Tool, NIN and Guns and roses!!
