I've seen some of you on here with amazing pictures, most likely done by a photographer. Seriously guys, how do you get such good pictures? Do you guys photograph yourselves? It seems we have photographers in the making. If you take pictures of yourself and others on a regular basis and are studying photography, don't hesitate to post it here =] I enjoy viewing your work.

Before becoming a keyboardist for Vampyrouss I was the band photographer. Its good fun, especially in the digital age, you can just snap away without worrying about the price of film. As long as you have got a good eye and a steady hand with a bit of practice you can get some fantastic shots.

And with the help of a little software you can create the effect of having thousands of pounds of expensive lenses. It really is a good time to be creative

Im getting a bit out of practice these days, I would go for a walk and take some now, but its a little wet and windy out

I prefer taking photos of nature to people most of the time, you dont have to worry about the trees smirking as you take the photo...or forgetting the are still holding a can of lagar when you ae trying to do a promotional photoshoot (a sly jab at our bassit lol)

That is one of the great things about the internet, meeting people from all over the world.

I used to take it for granted that I am within walking distance of green hills, forests, beaches, cliffs, gothic churches, graveyards, crumbling factoriesall the ingredients for fantastic photos. (not very good for shopping tho I might add)

When you live with it every day you just get used to it I guess, but in the last few years ive become much more aware of the environment around me. I guess thats part of the reason for taking the photos, to capture and share natures beauty before someone comes along and builds houses over it

Same here... ill spend hours in the bush waiting to get the right pic of animals... lol tis hard but great... it does take time though. Siting and waiting for the animals lol as I like to get them when they dont realise im watching them. I know I could set up trigger cams but I want to be there to see it myself really.
And the bush round here is gorgeous... i may post some but as psycho mentioned posting them can ruin the quality tho.

And Vampyrouss I like those pics... nice scenery

:)

thanks :)

I havnt really experimented with taking many animal photos, even when I do I end up get distracted with the scenery.

One of these days I'l try it tho, if I can sort out the macro lens for my camera I might try and catch some of the british bug life in action
