| Goth can be anything from a fashionable alienation to a group of people who like "dark" themed music. It all depends on how you and others around you would interpret it. |

| it is indeed seeing beauty within darkness. and by capturing it's beauty, comes powerful interpretations and translations of the mind and soul. a soul and a mind that is entwined to it, in which to others seem a backlash to the eyes of many. and if a certain individual is welcomed and welcomed by it, then, that is the time ART can be a pathway to it's hidden messege. music is art, and it is one of the true key to touch someone's inner mind, heart and soul. and when "gothism" and an individual connect, there comes "goth" music. |

goth?? for me, is a way to express yourself, your inside, how darkness is, when i saw darkness i don't mean evil, for me is like the pure soul, with a terrific way to think, how to see life, and not caring about people mean, sometimes it hurts, and something we should never care, is our own life, our own dreams develop in a wild see, where everyone that feels that way can introduce here, not scared of the night, not scared of life, happy and deeply melt with your soul.

| personally, i hate labels, i am what i am because i feel great in this way, maybe today i'm goth or tomorrow i'll be just a crazy girl with tons of cats, the point is,goth for me is being yourself, don't try to change just because people say that |

| GOTH is beautiful and its "strange" to the average person who thinx that GOTH is a fashion and yes its partly fashion but its also ATTITUDE. |

| Goth is a stereotype, if you like labeling yourself then go ahead and call yourself a goth, its not like you walk up to someone and say "hey my name is Joe, and im gothic", and if you do I feel sad for you.... |

| Goth is just not wearing black clothes or listening to some cradle of filth or dimmu borgir goth is being evil and dark from the soul accepting that hell is where we end being a goth is not just to dress up like a vampire or pain face in white being goth is not to show off if it is in us it'll show up itself being a goth is to walk through the darker side of life by holading hands of satan |

| I have to agree with what blackbloodonslaught said, goth is a stereotype brought on by the media... The real essence that it tries to portray, however, is indeed the darker side of existence that most people choose to shy away from. It's a way for those who've experienced true pain to somehow express it..it's a way for people who aren't afraid of being different to show who they really are, instead of going along with the crowd all of the fuckin' time.. It's a simple embrace of the darker side of things that everyone has. |

| Goth to me is more of the 80's such bands like christian death, the cult, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus ect...but also i dont see a goth culture like all of this festish stuff and bondage ect..goth to me was more about the music and the stlye of the victorians not a life style of witch craft and stuff like that. |
