hah, not very good at calming down, anger management tried, i guess, but i just dont see it that way, goth is a decriptive word, thats it, thats all..nothing in between.
save idealology for politics, the meaning of life, not for something as simple as a fashion statement. i'm not trying to put down what goth is, i'm just sick of the complications people have with its meaning. its very very basic meaning.
no vampires, no pagainst, no wiccans, no satanist, and your everyday "wanna be different from everyone" 's can't justify this word as who they are just because its easier and the need to feel apart of the whole. it doesn't make sence, and it pisses me off. well i should say it did piss me off, now its just pathetic and i start to pitty the fool. |

Atlast I can write from my normal account. :) Thanks Aborted and Sarah for your comments about it.
First thing first: Goth haven't changed to an ideology it's still the same thing it was since the 80's. A musical based subculture and a musical genre, it has only changed to be more Deathrock friendly. |

No Goth cant be about the state of mind thing as then we're talking about Gothic/Dark Romanticism which is NOT the same.
Goth is a musical based subculture and a musical genre nothing else.
Gothic is either a referens to Gothic Metal or a referens to the Gothic era with Poe and other good poets and writers, OR it's a referens to the state of mind "I'm so darknezz and depressed thing" which with a better word is Dark Romanticism even tho most of them only thinks about seeing the light in the dark thing.

very BASIC gothic requirements....
1. you know well the beginnings and evolution of goth from a musical standpoint including their historical significance.
2. you love, collect and support goth music unconditionally (not even to meet this list of requirements).
2. you partake in goth events/gatherings to meet/know other goths and enjoy the DJ sets.
