| I'd be glad to talk to anyone on a friendly basis and possibly hang out with them sometime, but don't expect me to reply to someone who is hitting on me. Heck, if you abbreviate short words like that, whether you're hitting on me or not, I'll probably ignore you. ---------------------------------------------------- My name is Bonnie, I'm 20 years old, and I've lived in Baltimore, MD all my life. I'm 5'2, although I usually appear 5'4 because of my boots, have naturally curly brown hair, brown eyes, and probably weight somewhere between 97 and 105lbs. I do not wear make up as I'm allergic to it and have never really cared for it. I love cats and I have three of them. ------------------------------------------------------ I've been listening to Gothic Rock and Metal for about 5 years now, but I've never really been involved in the local scene. I've been to Orpheus twice, the first time to see a local Gothic Rock band called the Drowning Season. The second time was on a Saturday when there were no bands playing and I didn't really enjoy it. That night they played bands like Marilyn Manson, Ministry (the song New World Order), Rammstein, etc., and it's not music I'm very fond of. Most of the people there looked like they didn't have a clue what Goth is. I also did not like the feeling of being partially deaf for an hour after leaving, so unless a band is playing, I probably won't be going back there, even though the scene looked better on a friday and they supposedly play Goth music then. ------------------------------------------------------ I enjoy reading a lot. I usually start another book every day or two. I get most of my books from Goodwill, so I find a lot of Gothic Romance novels from between the 1950s and 1970s, though as much as I enjoy those, I prefer Historical Romance. I particularly like romance novels that take place in Medieval times, Wales, Scotland, or Ireland, or have characters from those places, as well as Viking ones. I also read vampire and werewolf novels, though they're mostly romance. Although I have my favourites, it doesn't matter to me who the writer is. So far the only writers I really dislike are Anne Rice and Maura Seger. ------------------------------------------------------ I'm also a big fan of Old/Classic and Gothic Horror films and vampire films. When I say Old/Classic I'm talking about mostly films from the 70s or before. When I say Gothic Horror films I'm talking about movies like The Pit and the Pendulum, The House of Houser, The Tomb of Ligea, Web of the Spider, The Haunted Palace, Twice Told Tales, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Dracula (Bela Lugosi), Dracula (Frank Langella, 1979), and similar movies. Some of my favourite actours/actresses are Vincent Price, Paul Naschy, Boris Carloff, Barbara Steele, Lon Chaney Jr., Christopher Lee, Peter Lorre, Peter Cushing, etc., ------------------------------------------------------ I'm not a big fan of actours from today because type-casting is no longer as common. While I like some films outside my favourite genres, there aren't that many actours who have done a good percentage of films that I enjoy. I dislike a lot of modern Horror movies for certain reasons, some of them being the graphics are too computerized, while popular the music does not work for the type of film, there's no mood or atmosphere, etc., ------------------------------------------------------ I like fashion, I like clothing and jewelry, and I like shopping for it. I have a pretty extension wardrobe that I love, but I've spent years building it up. A good portion of it consists of lace and velvet, mostly in the colour black, but that is more because I find more items in black in a style I love than in other colours. My favourite colours are actually purple, preferably dark but most shades are good, and burgundy. I have a lot of corset-tops, bell sleeve tops, drape sleeve tops, long velvet skirts, and a lot of chokers. I love gowns, and though I have a bunch, I don't get many opportunies to wear them. When ever I move out of my parents house, I intend to have formal dinner parties with some of my friends, partially so I can have an excuse to wear my gowns. I mostly shop at Goodwill, Thrift Stores, Yard Sales, Rave, Rainbow, Forever 21, and Claires/Icing for clothing and jewelry. ------------------------------------------------------ I also enjoy designing and making or modifying clothing and jewelry. I don't know how to read patterns or use a sewing machine, so everything is done by hand, unless my mom helps and it's very rare she does. It also limits my sewing abilities to mostly alterations and very few clothing items created from scratch. ------------------------------------------------------ Since it won't let me put all this in the music section:------------------------------------------------------ Most of the bands are in the correct place, but if some aren't it is because I'm not sure. You should still get a good idea of what I like if you are only familiar with a few of the genres I listen to (and/or only a few bands from the genre) and it should be easier to skim.
